
Dr Natalie Hendry

Natalie Hendry’s research focuses on young people’s use of visual social media to represent their well-being and identity.
Natalie has worked as a teacher and consultant in the adolescent inpatient unit with Austin CAMHS. Her interest in youth health and education was sparked when she became a peer educator in a sexual violence prevention program. In this role she realised that emotional wellbeing underpins education.
Natalie also works as a research officer at the Australian Centre in Sex, Health and Society, La Trobe University.
She is an experienced health educator who completed a Masters of Youth Health and Educational Management in 2012. Natalie has a Bachelor of Arts (1st class Hons)/Bachelor of Science, and Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary).
