Associate Professor Wendy Cumming-Potvin

Murdoch University | Scaffolding, Multliteracies and Social Justice

Associate Professor Wendy Cumming-Potvin specialises in a socio-cultural approach to research and teaching, with an emphasis on scaffolding, multiliteracies and social justice.

She has a strong interest in investigating the application of information and communication technologies in school communities.

Overseas and in Australia, Wendy has conducted research involving learning and development in urban and remote communities. Her work focuses on qualitative methods, involving the analysis of interviews, focus groups, video sequences, etc.

As the educational researcher for an Office of Learning and Teaching project, Wendy is investigating literacies for socially just engineering education. She is currently co-supervising postgraduate research relating to multiliteracies and online learning.
