Cultural Responsiveness Model

This project developed a model of culturally responsive research and associated activities.

Cultural Responsiveness Model

Globalisation, transnational connectedness and everyday multiculturalism have created diverse social spheres, resulting in complex cultures that can be difficult for researchers to navigate.

Cultural responsiveness is closely linked to an ability to reflect on one self and others, however, while reflection is widely known as inherent to best research practice, only limited work has been conducted in regards to cultural responsiveness in research. This project identified components of culturally responsive research and co-developed training activities that increase the inter-personal skills necessary to become culturally responsive researchers. The model and activities for culturally responsive research were co-designed with researchers and affiliates from the Young and Well CRC.
