Social Play Resources
Play is a source of culture, a form of expression and a way of creatively engaging with the world. However, developments in game design, location based technologies and diverse gaming platforms are changing how and where play activities are brought together.
The appearance of smartphones everywhere together with the recent growth of online play has brought digital games and play into homes, transport, work and everyday spaces, this has changed the way we play together.
This project focused on working with young people and game designers to co-design a toolkit that reflects the needs of the play community. The toolkit provides suggestions to practitioners of ways in which to engage diverse groups through activities of design and play.
